MY WORKSHOP & GARDEN
Every Thursday, between 9 am to 1 pm
‘MY Workshop' is a community-based project
located in the garden grounds at Horton Manor House, near Ilminster.
We provide a place where people can feel included and safe.

Our Aim
The aim of our workshop and garden project is to improve the wellbeing of our members. We seek to provide opportunity for people to work on community and personal projects together, whilst making new friends along the way.
Learning New Skills
Our project is run by Jay Ingram's who is an experienced construction teacher and furniture maker. Many come to learn new skills and to revive old skills. We learn a great deal from one another, but our main goal is to laugh and to be family together.

Hospitality
Hospitality is at the heart of everything we do at Monks Yard so please do stay for lunch provided by Monks Yard café. If you have any dietary requirements then please let us know. Teas and coffees are available throughout the morning.
Our Progress
It is still early days for our project. We have built the workshop (which is always a good start) and are in the process of kitting it out with new equipment. Whilst the building is safe and functional, we are continuing to make improvements. We are seeking to partner with other local groups and organisations.

How To Get Involved
If you would like to get involved then please just come along on a Monday morning and say hello. We look forward to meeting you.
